LOTL will be on Friday December 6th, from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM

 
 

 

WHO

All UVa students, faculty, staff, and members of the Charlottesville community.

 

 
 

WHERE

Lighting of the Lawn will be held on the Lawn. Receptions will be held on South Lawn.

 
 

Tips & Tricks to expedite entry into the event:

Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the event.

Expect to wait longer if you bring a bag or other items that require inspection.

Don’t bring any of the prohibited items listed below.


 
 
  • In an effort to ensure that LOTL can be as accessible as possible, we will be providing the following accommodations:

    • Entrances - all of the entrances on the west lawn side will be ADA accessible.

    • Bathrooms - ADA-accessible bathrooms are located in McGuffey Alley.

    • Alternate viewing location - An accessible seating section will be located at the front of the stage.

    • Interpreter - We will be providing an ASL interpreter throughout the show (located on the left side of the stage) .

    • Seating - For those who are unable to stand for extended periods of time, we will be providing seating (located in front of the stage at the front of the Lawn close to the Rotunda).

  • Parking will be available at several of the parking garages.

    • Central Grounds Parking Garage: pay through park mobile

    • Culbreth Parking Garage: free after 5pm

    • Liquids including all beverages

    • Folding chairs

    • Tents

    • Glass

    • Sticks and poles (including athletic equipment)

    • Drones

    • Weapons

    • Fireworks

    • Explosives

    • Animals (other than service animals).

    • Port-a-Johns are located in pairs; two on the West Lawn side at the end of McGuffey Alley between Pavilion IX and Garrett Hall and two on the East Alley access side in the parking area at the top of Key Alley between Pavilions VI and VIII.

    • ADA-accessible bathrooms are located in McGuffey Alley.
